VF Corporation has named Stefano Saccone as the company's new vice president, general manager of Vans Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, effective April 1, 2019.

In his new role, Saccone will lead the brand across the EMEA region, and will be based in VF International’s headquarters in Stabio, Switzerland.

Prior to joining Vans, Saccone served as the vice president and general manager of VF’s Eastpak brand, and vice president of sales and marketing for Napapijri in the EMEA region. Before joining VF in 2012, Saccone also served as general manager of sportswear and action sports for Nike and senior marketing director at Ralph Lauren.

“As a diverse region comprising 40 unique countries, EMEA remains a key growth area for Vans,” said Martino Scabbia Guerrini, group president, EMEA, VF Corporation, in a release. “Stefano’s deep knowledge of the region and market expertise put him in a strong position to drive the future prosperity of the brand and deliver on the expectations we have for Vans and VF throughout EMEA.”

Saccone will replace Jan Van Leeuwen, who was named as vice president, general manager of The North Face, EMEA this November.

In September of this year, representatives from Vans announced plans to grow the brand's global revenue to $5 billion by 2023.

VF Corp acquired Vans in 2004.
