The ‘China Business Innovation and Investment Representative Office’ opening on 1 January 2019 will be an operational hub created specifically for the Chinese market.

The move is part of Shiseido’s Vision 2020 strategy, which aims to secure sustainable growth in global markets.

China is expanding drastically, and is expected to accelerate its delivery of new innovations due to the increasing number of startups and ‘outstanding’ talent, Shiseido said.

The innovations enabled by the new office will be used to further boost Shiseido’s existing business in China with the aim of attracting new Chinese consumers and to create new beauty businesses in the region.

Carol Zhou has been appointed as head of the China Business Innovation office.
