The brand, owned by SMCP, is one of several international and British brands brushing off Brexit worries by signing new deals to open in Central London.

The Sandro menswear store will be located at 141 Regent Street, directly adjacent to a dedicated women’s and accessories boutique it launched last year.

It follows the recent opening of a 5,000-square-foot Mulberry flagship store at 100 Regent Street in September, and the arrival of South Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster with its first European store at 28-29 Argyll St. in July.

Sports retailer Realbuzz and beauty salon Glow Bar add to the new names. Realbuzz has created a global flagship store where curated collections of premium sportswear are presented in an innovative fitness setting, while Glow Bar has opened a space, complete with a café serving superfood bowls, on Mortimer Street.

Further, Regent Street St Jame’s has welcomed new fashion concept store Showcase, which brings together a rotating selection from young British designers. Italian sports and lifestyle brand Colmar and Swedish trainer specialist Eytys have joined the mix of brands on the nearby Brewer Street, and French eyewear label Jimmy Fairly is selling its frames outside of France for the first time in a small Regent Street flagship store.

“We are delighted to have welcomed a host of new brands across Regent Street and St James’s this year, alongside the iconic retailers and experiences for which the West End is famous,” Katerina Mercury, from the Crown Estate, commented.

“Each of our retailers, restaurants and offer something unique; be it a brand, product or experience that you cannot get anywhere else, and each one contributes to our ongoing ambition to curate the very best mix of retailers and restaurants in London.”

Central London is home to some of the world’s most famous brands, including Burberry, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Hunter, Victoria’s Secret and Hermès.
