After ‘The Autograph’ menswear collection by Jsen Wintle, a women’s line with fashion icon Twiggy, or even a collaboration with Conran for a homeware range, Marks & Spencer is now teaming up with a big name from the luxury menswear market. When announcing its sales results in November last year, Marks & Spencer also unveiled that its latest project was being developed in collaboration with Savile Row’s tailor Richard James. Now, on March 13th, the UK retailer is going to unveil its brand new tailoring collection.

According to the British press, the collection will consist of 27 pieces including suits, shirts and ties, all made from materials sourced in Britain. The line will at first be available to buy on the website and at 20 stores, before being distributed internationally around summer. Suits will be priced from £299 to £599, shirts at £49.50 and ties for £29.50.

Since starting his tailoring business in London in 1992, Richard James has gained a lot of visibility in the world of British luxury fashion. However, the designer also has several international points of sale across Holland, Dubai, Turkey, Russia, the US, Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong and Japan. These are located in upscale department stores, such as Barneys or Harvey Nichols.
