Berlin strengthens its trade fair portfolio with Panorama

This is certainly a time of change for European trade shows. After the announcement of Who's Next Prêt-à-porter Paris, which will be launching in Paris in 2012, it was now Berlin’s turn to make the headlines with news of a new trade show. Named Panorama, the new fashion fair for men and women will take place alongside Premium and Bread & Butter from July 4-6, 2012.

"There is place for a complementary trade show for middle-market fashion which is creative at the same time. We are going to select the brands”, commented Jörg Wichmann, co-founder of the new project. The new middle-market fair will thus bring the addition of a segment that is hardly or not at all present in the German capital. Working alongside Wichmann are Norbert and Anita Tillmann, founders of trade show Premium which is currently facing a lack of space.

Panorama will offer clothes, accessories and shoes. It will be the first trade fair to be held at Berlin’s new exhibition centre (Expocenter Airport), which will be built on the outskirts of the capital’s new international airport, Schönefeld. For its first edition, Panorama will cover an area of 40,000 square metres. “Visitors will be half an hour by train from Potzdamerplatz”, continued Jörg Wichmann, who is also known for supporting Berlin designers via Berlinomat.
