Unilever is going for an open approach, providing online details of the ingredients contained in the fragrances of its products distributed in Europe. The Anglo-Dutch agri-food and cosmetics group emphasised it is going "beyond labelling requirements," and has begun to implement the initiative in France and the UK.

Unilever has revealed the ingredients contained in its products' fragrances

Last year, Unilever pledged to provide detailed information on its products, and especially on the ingredients contained in its cosmetics and skincare lines. On the group's websites, this has led to the introduction of a new section labelled ‘The composition of our products'.

The information relating to each product is now being updated to include the ingredients contained in all of the group's fragrances, cosmetics and skincare products, up to ingredients present for 0.01% of the product's content.
