British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, of Ali G and Borat fame, will star as Philip Green, the billionaire owner of the Arcadia group and Topshop, in a film eloquently entitled 'Greed'.

The movie tells the story of the financial wreck of UK department store BHS, whose effects still weigh heavily on Philip Green's reputation. Acquired by Green in 2000, the retail group was sold for the symbolic sum of one pound in 2015, smothered at the time by debts for GBP570 million, just a shade less than the profit accrued by the businessman in the same period. The UK's Institute of Directors pointed the finger at Green of his "deplorable behaviour."

The BHS debacle was not the only controversy in the billionaire's business career: his name is also associated with tax evasion, breach of workers' rights and even anti-Irish statements made against a journalist, which led to demands for a boycott against Green in Ireland. He is also one of the very few men whom the House of Commons ever called to be stripped of his knighthood, for his role in the downfall of BHS.

This is not the first foray by Sacha Baron Cohen in the world of fashion. His 2009 film 'Brüno' featured the character of an Austrian fashion journalist. Its filming also saw the actor famously gate-crash an Agatha Ruiz de la Prada catwalk show in September 2008.
