The Amstelveen branch will be the fourth Dutch location for Parfois, having first announced its expansion to the Netherlands in March. On 13 April Parfois unveiled the first flagship store in the city of Eindhoven, followed by branches in Utrecht, Rotterdam, and now, Amstelveen. A fifth location, in The Hague is also in the works.

Parfois sells accessories, ranging from handbags and footwear to watches and sunglasses. Hair ties are on offer from €1.40, while a pair of boots costs €49.99. The brand is only available for women.

The brand is not completely new to the Dutch market, having previously maintained a long-time relationship with former department chain, V&D, where it operated a number of shop-in-shops. In December 2015 the department chain went bankrupt and Parfois become exclusively available to the Dutch customer via its online shop.

Manuela Medeiros founded the brand in 1994. Today, Parfois has over 700 stores in 55 countries. In the coming two years, Parfois plans to open 15 more locations in the Netherlands, aiming to become a solid addition to the Dutch retail landscape.
