The luxury eyewear brand went to the desert to celebrate its 30 years in the business. To mark its anniversary, the American brand tapped legendary photographer Peter Lindbergh and models such as Amber Valletta for a special desert shoot.

Titled “Desert Stories,” the photo shoot captures Oliver People’s twist on classic American style. Lindbergh shot modelsAlex Lundqvist, Levi Dylan, and Jac as they stumble upon a classic American diner in the middle of the Mojave Desert.

“When Oliver Peoples was founded in 1987, the brand challenged the ostentatious eyewear trends of the era with its decidedly classic aesthetic,” creative director Giampiero Tagliaferri says of the brand’s founding. “This was around the same time Peter Lindbergh was rising on the scene and changing fashion's view of beauty through his raw and minimalist photography. His ability to capture a story in his subjects' eyes makes him a perfect fit to shoot eyewear.”

Oliver Peoples was founded in 1987 and opened its first store in West Hollywood. Headquartered in Los Angeles, the brand now has dozens of stores throughout the United States, as well as boutiques in London and Japan. The Italian eyewear group Luxottica purchased Oliver Peoples in 2007.
