French beauty brand L'Occitane en Provence has unveiled a completely redesigned Canadian Flagship boutique in the Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto.

The store follows a new retail model for the brand, which embraces an immersive digital experience and a multi-sensory journey. The store is a part of a larger expansion of store concepts from L’Occitane.

The approximately 1600-square-foot flagship was designed by School House and is one of the largest L'Occitane boutiques in the world.

The founder of School House, Christopher Skinner, explained that the store design was approached as “an artistic expression of Provence, served through tactile and digital brand experiences."

Provence is brought to life by channeling the elements of earth, fire, air and water via different design detailing.

The store features an external glass façade, which hosts a curved video wall to immediately attract the attention of passersby’s. Inside, guests are greeted by yellow glass archways and can find a natural stone flooring (earth), automated rain shower sinks (water), a sun installation set within the ceiling plane (fire), and fragrance clouds (air).

Other key features include an interactive skincare bistro and a large hand cream column wrapped in communal seating.

The Yorkdale flagship will celebrate its grand opening on December 7.

L’Occitane will also unveil new store concepts on Regent Street in London and at 86 Champs (Champs Elysée) in Paris this December.
