Guess names new head for North American business

Mar 7 - Apparel company Guess Inc has named a new head for its North American operations as it seeks to expand its store operations.

Guess, known for its jeans, said on Monday that Nancy Shachtman, who first joined Guess in 1986, will oversee its North American stores as well as its wholesale operations.

Rival Gap Inc also recently named a new head of its North American business.
