Furla CEO Eraldo Poletto resigns

Eraldo Poletto, Chief Executive Officer of Furla, is stepping down, announced the Italian leather goods manufacturer in a statement. The manager was essentially offered a new position, after having been in charge of the Italian leather goods company since June 2010. "The collaboration between Eraldo Poletto and Furla, who is leaving because of a new job, will be discontinued on November 2 by mutual agreement," the statement said.

Visibly caught off guard, the company has not yet decided on a successor for Eraldo Poletto. However, Furla says that it will "continue the strategic direction" initiated by Poletto. Furla has undergone an in-depth reorganization the past three years, pursuing an intense expansion in international business.

Prior to joining Furla, Eraldo Poletto worked for Brooks Brothers.
