French fragrance house Diptyque has opened a pop-up experience in New York's SoHo to celebrate the brand's fifty-year history in personal fragrance.

Mercer St. pop-up - Diptyque

The pop-up aims to take the consumer on an immersive journey of Diptyque's four core fragrances, L’Eau, Do Son, Philosykos, and Tam Dao. It will also introduce two new fragrances, Tempo and Fleur de Peau which will be released into the air through special "click and sniff' technology.

According to a release, the pop-up "hover[s] between tradition and avant-garde," and involves "eclectic, bountiful encounters" in keeping with the brand's free-spirited perspective.

The pop-up will host an interactive bar where guests can discover thirty raw materials that go into Diptyque's fragrances. A social media contest will award one chosen winner with a bespoke Diptyque fragrance.

Diptyque stated that its goal with the pop-up is to "draw inspiration from the past, to reinvent the future, to surprise and offer imaginary journeys of the mind and the senses through each of [the fragrance] creations."

To round out the consumer journey, the pop-up will host events each weekend, including workshops, and feature limited-edition product through the spring. Scheduled events include appearances by customized bottle painters and poets, as well as flower bars.

The Diptyque fragrance pop-up is open March 15 through May 19, 2018. It is located at 112 Mercer St. between Spring and Prince Streets in SoHo, NY.
