As Baselworld 2015 wraps up on Thursday, we take a look at four major trends in the women's watch market this year.

Diamonds and rhinestones are once again adorning women's watches this year - Ops Objects

Diamonds and other gemstones

Seen on bracelets, bezels and dials, diamonds were big at this edition of Baselworld and will be adorning women's wrists all year. Watches glittering with real diamonds or less valuable gemstones call to mind the flashy rocks seen on last season's runways. And between Juicy Couture and Ops! Objects, there are options for every price range.

Colorful unisex designs

Another hot trend not to miss this year: playful, brightly colored watches designed for both men and women, often in silicone. Despite looking more like toys than jewelry, these accessories make a strong fashion statement. The Velvety by ToyWatch and the Club Collection by AM:PM are among the most notable examples. Versus Versace recently added to the trend with its silicone Fire Island watches, which come in flashy colors including fuchsia and neon yellow.

Classic metal bracelets

A timeless women's watch feature, bracelets in gold (yellow, white or rose), silver or platinum are back in a big way this year. There are options for every budget and style, with round or square dials and bracelets thick or thin. From the Dream Chrono Lady by Balmain to the Lady Mariner by Concord, the trend shows no sign of stopping.

Dyed leather straps

Once considered as passé, dyed leather straps have returned to the spotlight, bringing a touch of whimsy to any look. Between classic buckles and double wraparound designs, in patent leather or imitation alligator skin, the variations are endless. The colors range from blue to pink (Aila Day Double Tour by Swarovski) and prairie green (Finesse Collection by Elixa).
