Vancouver-based outdoor retailer Arc’teryx is set to unveil its largest Canadian store at 813 Burrard street, in Vancouver, at an official grand opening on June 10.

The 3,200-square-foot store will be Arc’teryx’ s third location in the lower mainland.

The store will also follow a new retail concept that will have a particular focus on community and consumer experience. This latest locale will feature a dedicated community space for customers and outdoor organizations to engage with the brand, along with a warranty-and-repair bar, where clients can ask questions or resolve issues surrounding Arc’teryx products. Meanwhile, the store also plans to host more community based events.

“This is our hometown and we want to make our brand even more accessible. We want to create more intimate one-on-one relationships with our consumers and use our stores as hubs for the local outdoor community,” explained Stephanie Jamison, Global Retail Marketing Manager, in a news statement.

“We will offer opportunities for customers and fans to learn more about the activities we design and manufacture products for as well as inspire them to get outside and explore the wonders of wild places”.

The downtown store will carry Arc’teryx’ s full line of outdoor products including its backpacks, footwear and climbing equipment; as well as its full hiking, running and mountain apparel lines. The new store will equally carry Arc’teryx’ s technical urban collection tailored for city environments, dubbed Veilance.

Arc’teryx will be hosting a number of activities in store from June 9 to the 15 to celebrate the opening. The brand currently operates five stores in Canada, including its locations in North Vancouver and Kistilano as well as two stores in Toronto and one in Montreal.

Arc’teryx was founded in 1989. It was purchased in 2005 by Finland-based Amer Sports
